Mortgage appointment checklist

Make sure you are prepared for you mortgage appointment by ensuring you have the key documents and paperwork ready to bring and discuss with your mortgage adviser. 

1. Proof of identity

  • Form of identity, for example passport or driving licence

2. Proof of income

  • Employers details for the last 3 years (name, address, telephone number and dates you were employed there)
  • 3 weeks or 3 months of payslips
  • Latest P60
  • If self employed please bring the last 2 copies of SA302s /audited accounts (if self employed)
  • Bank statements (last 3 months)
  • Latest annual mortgage statement
  • Any details of existing outgoings

3. Proof of address

  • Full address history for the past 3 years
  • Proof of residency such as a utility bill or bank statement from the past 3 months

4. Additional information

  • Proof of deposit
  • Details of all existing personal and mortgage related insurance
  • Employment benefits for example car allowance and sick pay
  • New property details

Please ensure all of the documents you bring to the appointment are original copies.
